Steven and Christi could not be more perfect for each other. I first met them when they were in the beginning stages of their wedding planning and it was clear the love they have for each other. It was so sweet to watch Steven as Christi walked down the aisle, there are no words to explain the emotion in his expression other than complete and whole love for her.
They dated for about 2 years before becoming engaged. Christi says, “He still was able to surprise me with the proposal because I was sure it was going to be during the summer. Two years ago on Christmas Eve we decided to open our gifts to one another before I had to go to work. Steven asked me if I wanted to open presents or stockings first. I said, ‘Who cares about the stocking!’ We opened all our gifts, moved to the stockings and I get to the very last thing (still have no idea at this point) and find a black box. I still thought it was earrings or something. To my surprise, it was an engagement ring. It was a very happy day and he had actually planned for my entire family to come over and have lunch.”
“This is the first marriage on both sides so it was very special for both families! It was important for Steven and I to incorporate our faith into the ceremony as much as we could. One of the more special moments for us was before the wedding when we prayed together without seeing each other. I had no idea he had prepared a prayer and that meant a lot to me. We are most looking forward to buying a home together, traveling, and of course starting a family in the next couple years.”
