Manic Monday | Business Goals

Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Mine was pretty unusual in that I didnt have a wedding and was able to stay at home and get some housework done! Also, Carter and Jay were away on a boy scout camping trip, so that was REALLY unusual! Normally I am the one with the kids! I did still have Kaleigh but it was really different being the one at home and not away! Carter had a fantastic time camping! He did SO many fun things…from archery and rock throwing to swimming and shooting with a BB gun! He was a little homesick the first night and called me upset and wanting to come home. 🙁 I was worried that he might not want to stay through the weekend, but he did much better the second night. I am so happy that he had the opportunity to do something like this and it was great that he and Jay and a boys weekend! My weekend was spent visiting with my sister, cleaning up around the house, starting a front and back deck project, hanging out with a few friends, and spending time with family yesterday! I am glad that the rain on Saturday brought in some cooler weather yesterday…we celebrated my cousin’s 12th birthday at my aunt and uncle’s house so that was a great way to end the weekend!

So, last week was a wash because I wasnt able to get through my goal list last week due to the craziness of Kaleigh getting shingles and then getting stitches later in the week! To say it was an eventful week is an understatement! I am so happy that she is feeling better and moving around more! 🙂 This week, both kiddos are headed to summer camp, so I am anticipating getting some work done! Below is a recap collage from last week….I dont have any photos from Carter’s camping trip yet, so I will post those next week! Hope you all have a fantastic week! Now for the goals…..

I cant believe how much my little niece has grown! When she was born, she was just over 5 pounds. That is TINY! But in the last six months she has grown so much and has such a fun personality! She smiles all the time and is very happy baby! I am so glad that I am able to be a part of her life and relive all of the wonderful stages of the baby years. Its hard to believe that she is already 6 months old-the time went by so quickly! Kaleigh’s Spa Party!

Well, I am finally getting around to posting Kaleigh’s birthday party! She turned 11 this year and had requested a spa party and of course I was on board! 🙂 She did a lot of the planning as far as what stations she wanted, picking out her invitations and “approving” decorations. She even helped my aunt make the cake for the party! She is so grown up now, I still cant believe I have a middle schooler! Crazy! Anyway, I think the girls all had a great time! I am so thankful to have had my Aunt Linda, my cousin, Porsha, and my friend, Tori to help me with this party. It could NOT have been done without them. And for anyone planning a spay party for their little girl….we had 5 stations and two hours was not nearly enough time! I would suggest 3-3 1/2 hours, especially if you want to have time for cake and presents! It probably would have helped to have one or two others at the stations, so that makes a difference with timing! Manic Monday | Personal and Business Goals

Good morning! I hope everyone had a fun, relaxing 4th of July! Our holiday was VERY low key this year….we didnt even leave the house and pretty much just lounged around the entire weekend! The kids had a blast with the fireworks we picked up at South of the Border last Christmas and we celebrated the 4th with burgers, fireworks and music! I didnt even bring my camera out for pictures(that probably sounds bad, but it was nice to be “off” this weekend!) I did manage to get a few photos with my phone which are below! What did everyone do for the 4th? I would love to hear about it! 🙂

I know its only Monday, but this week has already started out rough. 🙁 Hence why this post is just now getting blogged! The kids….well, Carter, started summer camp today! Kaleigh, unfortunately has poison ivy which has spread into her eye(poor thing!) so she is unable to go to camp today….not sure if she will be able to go at all, but I am taking her to the doctor this afternoon so hopefully we can get her on some medication! I had big plans to do a lot of work(for business and house) but its just not looking that way for this week. Oh well, such is life! Just hoping to get some of the goals mentioned below accomplished! Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Ryan and Kelly Married | Libby Hill Park | Richmond, VA Wedding Photographer

Ryan and Kelly are such a laid back couple and instantly make you feel at ease when you are with them. They enjoy spending time together as a family and with their friends and are genuinely joyful people. I worked with them during their engagement session and got a chance to know them better and they were made for each other! They are funny, care free and completely comfortable with each other. I loved watching the dynamics of their relationship and seeing how well they work together.

Ryan and Kelly first met in middle school and became middle school sweethearts(cute!). Life took them down different roads and they lost touch for a while but were reconnected a couple of years ago and have been together since! When asked what they love about each other, their response was, “We both enjoy our wittiness, willingness and love for each other.” One of their favorite things to do is to sit out on their back deck with a good bottle of wine and enjoy each others company. Ryan and Kelly are looking forward to growing old together and extending their family in the near future! Yay!

I am so excited to share Ryan and Kelly’s images from their wedding! It was a beautiful day, and despite the thunderstorms that rolled in that evening, we managed to beat the rain for their ceremony on Libby Hill overlooking the city! The weather was perfect and we finished up with their portraits right as the wind really started picking up! From there, we headed to Havana 59 where friends and family were waiting to welcome the newlyweds. There were great toasts made, memorable dances and delicious food! The thunderstorms that came during the reception didnt stop the celebration! Ryan and Kelly, I am so honored to have been a part of your wedding day-thank you for allowing me to document this special day for you all!
