Good afternoon!  What a BEAUTIFUL weekend we had!  This is my favorite time of year so I am trying to soak up as much as I can!  I know that it wont last for long and before you know it, winter will be here!  It is kind of crazy to think that Christmas will be here in THREE months!!  How did that happen?!!?  I know I am not ready for it haha!

We spent the weekend with our friends Carri and Eric, their kids, and family this weekend at the river and had such a great time!  I think I was most surprised by how well the kids all got along together!  Maybe it is because Kaleigh and Carter seem to fight more than anything, but to have 4 kids under the age of 9 all get along together for 2 1/2 days is a pretty big deal!  They played non stop….going to bed after midnight and waking up as the sun came up….I still cant believe how much energy they had!  Carter told me today that he wants to live at the river with Emmons so they can play the machine(an old video game system!)  They did everything from playing on the beach, swinging and riding the four wheeler to riding in the golf cart to the “jungle” as it is known, kicking the soccer ball, and LOTS of imaginative play.  And how can I forget playing Mario games?!

It was great being able to relax and watch them have fun.  And the crazy thing is…I brought my laptop like I normally do on vacations and other long weekend getaways because I always do some sort of work, whether its answering emails or editing photos…but this weekend, my laptop stayed in the bag!  I fought the urge to work and it was great. 🙂

I had the pleasure of working with the B family again and boy has Coleson grown!!  I began working with this sweet family  almost a year ago, when Christie was pregnant.  I love the maternity session we did!  The last time I saw Coleson, he was a little baby, just days old!  You can view his newborn session here.  He is SO big now!  He has the cutest little personality and I loved hearing about all the exciting things he is doing these days!  Sitting up has been his most recent milestone and I was thrilled to be able to take photos of him sitting up like a big boy!  I cant believe that in just a few short months he will be one year old!  Time has flown by, and as sad as I will be to end our first year milestone photo sessions, I am excited to see them again soon!  Here are some favorites from our session that day!   PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGESuch a sweet smile!  PIN IMAGEHa!  I love this one… PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEI dont think it gets much cuter than this… PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEA fave! I could not believe how much these sweet little girls had grown since I last saw them!  I did their newborn photos and it always amazes me how much babies change in such a short amount of time!  These beautiful babies are sitting up on their own, smiling, laughing, and loving life!  I got to hear about all the new, fun things they are learning and how different their personalities are!  This is such a sweet family and I loved every minute of our session together!  I am already looking forward to the 1 year milestone, which will be here before you know it!  Thank you M family for our session, I had a great time and it was so nice meeting your family!  Cant wait to see you all again soon! 🙂

Hello everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend and can I just say how GORGEOUS it is outside today?!?!  I am loving this weather!  It makes me so excited for fall…I got my first pumpkin spice latte of the season last week and it was delicious!  I cant wait to break out the fall boots and clothes!!  I can hardly wait to see what is in store for this season and all the wonderful things we will get to do as a family!  Last week I shared some of our annual traditions we do during the fall…I would LOVE to hear some of yours!  What family traditions do you have planned?  🙂

I will share a little bit of our weekend with you…Friday we didnt do much at all….we had our normal “Friday night pizza on the couch and watch TV” evening and Saturday I was gone all day for a wedding!  It was a beautiful day up until the reception.  Massive gusts of wind came through the tent(it was an outdoor reception) and everything under the tent went flying everywhere!   It was a  little scary…I wasnt sure if the tent would hold up…and they even had plans to cancel the reception if it got too dangerous with the storm.  Thankfully, things calmed down a bit and we were able to finish out the evening!  And, I learned a big lesson that day…..ALWAYS wear shorts under your dress…no. matter. what.  Lets just say a little *too* much skin got shone….Im glad I(and a few others) were able to laugh it off.  But let me tell you, it will never happen again haha!  Sunday I had brunch with a friend and it was so much fun!  I havent been out during the day with just myself in SO long!  It felt nice to get out for the afternoon and not have any responsibilities!

Tomorrow I am sending my baby off to preschool for the first time.  I will tell you the truth…I am not ready for it!  I wish I could keep him all to myself and spend our days snuggling and reading books like we always do.  But, the sad thing is, he is growing up and there is nothing I can do to stop it.  I know he is very excited to start preschool, especially since his best friend is in his class…but I am not quite ready to let go.  Tomorrow will be tough for me….but I guess that is just life.  And on a happier note, he starts soccer tomorrow, and we are all excited about that!  Jay is going to be the coach this season, so we all have our hands full!

OK onto the goals!
