I am SOOOO excited to finally be sharing these very special images with you all! My brother-in-law, Will, and his fiance, Kara, were married this fall!!!! It was an amazing event which family and friends were anticipating for so many months! It is so rare that during a wedding day I am not taking photos, but I got the best of both worlds this day. Not only did I get to capture this special time for Will and Kara, but I had an assistant with me who was amazing! She was so helpful throughout the day, because at one point I was really stressed so it was awesome having someone with me! She also took over the reception after the first dances and I was able to put my camera down for the rest of the night and have fun with my family! It was such a memorable day and I am so happy for them both. Also, this is probably the longest blog post ever, so I apologize in advance haha!
Oh, Hey Kelly! 🙂 She did such a great job with my hair(Salon 606!) I cannot wait to photograph her and Ryan’s wedding next year! O.M.G. I cant take the curls! Really?!?!?! I so wish I had those! And sweet Carter, he played on his tablet the entire time Kaleigh and I got our hair done! Mother and daughter…..wish I had makeup on haha! Mother and son….He is so cute! 🙂 Soooo…..While we were waiting for Kara and her girls to show up, I had a mini session with Kaleigh. 🙂 She is gorgeous as it is, but seriously, with that dress and those curls, Ive never seen her look so grown up! Next was ceremony details!….. Yay! Kara and the girls arrive to the church…. I LOVED the bouquets! Each bouquet was lovingly handmade by Kara herself with heirloom pieces from her Grandmother and Great-Grandmother! She spent so much time delicately placing each and every piece for each bouquet and they turned out stunning! Kara, her mom, and aunt. And the guys arrive!!! Everyone is looking SHARP!!!! This post would not be complete without the awesome(and funny!) dear friends in our lives! Lookin good Beaz! And not too shabby Glasco Bros! There’s my little man, William(as he likes to go by now)….He will always be Carter to me. He is so handsome and growing up so fast! Thats my boy! The red/navy/green ties are from Scotland and feature the “Glasco Tartan” pattern. How cool is that?! Will and Kara wanted to add these special touches to the wedding because the Glasco’s are a Scottish descendant and Kara’s great grandmother was a Scottish immigrant.
Classic Glasco brother photos haha! Will’s dad, Rick, gave him the awesome pocket watch below. 🙂 Carter being silly as usual…. Father and son 🙂 The rings! I had so much fun photographing them because Kara’s ring is not your typical diamond, it is a rubellite tourmaline to be exact. 🙂 I’d say Rick and Will did a pretty awesome job finding the perfect ring. You can visit Rick’s jewelry store here! Look at these adorable kids handing out programs! You would never know that they were fighting over who would give the next program haha! Thats Kaleigh giving me her look….miss attitude! Ceremony time! Kaleigh did such an amazing job at the wedding! I was one proud momma! Here comes the bride! During the ceremony, Will and Kara did a hand tying, a traditional Celtic/Scottish wedding ceremony. MARRIED! Nana and Papa arent ones to hang around for long so I had to grab a few shots before they left! 🙂 Almost the whole family! Family photos! Rick, Gigi, Kaleigh and Carter Bridal party photos! So, Will and his brothers, Jay and Dustin, are huge zombie fans. Of course, they would do something like this haha! Carter’s face here cracks me up! That is the most cheesy face Ive ever seen lol! Our family! Reception time! Thank you so much to my friend Aniko who took over the reception shots! I was able to relax and have fun with my family and not worry about taking photos! It was such a great time! I LOVE Will and Kara’s guest signing records. This was such an original idea! They chose “Peter, Paul, and Mary” which was a band that Ginny loved, “Bad Company”, a band that Rick loves, Rod Stewart because he is Scottish, and The Commodores because Will is a big fan! 🙂 First dance as newlyweds…I took photos up until the first couple of songs, it was such a special moment with them! Mother/son dance… Ok! I officially am done as the photographer haha! Below are the images Aniko captured throughout the night! Thank you again Aniko for being here to capture our family during this special event! Below are the images from the photo booth I had set up that evening….it wasnt the best photo booth but everyone had a blast taking photos with the set up! 🙂 Well, thats it! What an amazing time with good friends and family! Congrats again Will and Kara! xoxo
