Ian and Liz Married | St. Francis Hall | Washington DC Wedding Photographer

Ian and Liz met through mutual friends in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They have been together for 6 years and got engaged after Ian planned a weekend getaway in Cape May, New Jersey(Liz being a Jersey girl and all.) 😉 Ian says, “It was a lovely weekend and I’m sure she wasn’t surprised since I planned something all on my own without asking for her advice. We went out for a lovely dinner and afterward we had a little balcony that looked out over the ocean. Up on that balcony beneath the moonlight I asked her to marry me.”

I had the honor of photographing their engagement session in DC over the summer and it was great getting to know them! After leaving our session, I was excited for October! It finally came and it was a gorgeous celebration! Their wedding day was special for them to have their loved ones, family and friends celebrating with them on such a momentous occasion.
