Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a restful weekend! This was the first weekend since September that I did not schedule a single shoot! I make sure to carve out one weekend during the fall for our camping trip and this was the weekend, yay! I brought my laptop with me, as I was going to work a little, BUT I didnt touch it once this entire weekend! I can hardly believe it myself! I didnt know what to do with myself at first, but it felt nice not to be tied down to my computer for a couple of days….
So, lets talk about his time change! Has it gotten into anyone’s head?! It sure has for me….when 5:00 rolls around and its dark outside, the only thing I want to do is curl up in my bed and go to sleep! It through me off so much last Monday that I completely forgot about Carter’s soccer practice at 6:00 and we missed it!
A little recap from last week….the kids had a holiday last Tuesday so I wanted to make sure we did something fun on their day off! I took them to Barnes and Noble, we went to see Hotel Transylvania 2 and then went to Maymont for a few pictures! I did mini sessions there a couple of Sundays ago and it was so beautiful, I knew I had to take advantage of the fall foliage with my kiddos! It wasn’t as well planned out as it could have been(the shoes I brought for Carter not longer fit) so he was barefoot….he also needs a haircut and his shirt was a little too big. BUT, its been a long time since I have taken photos of them, so I am glad I did it….even if it was for less than 5 minutes! 🙂
This weekend we did our annual camping trip, the goochland drive in to see the new Peanuts movie, and apple picking at Carter Mountain. The weather on Friday was beautiful and the kids had an early release so it worked out perfectly! We drove up to Goochland and spent the last part of the day outside and then made a campfire for hotdogs and s’mores. The next day was rainy unfortunately, so we drove to Short Pump to eat lunch and then took a trip to Target and Barnes and Noble. I was so tempted to fill my cart with all things Christmas, but I did not give in! I still have yet to take down Halloween decorations, but seeing all of the Christmas decor and friends’ photos lately, I am motivated to get moving. It doesnt help that I am STILL not feeling well, but I am determined to get started this week! Yesterday was perfect weather for apple picking! We spent the day there with part of our family and my friend Carly and her daughter and it was a great time! We had lunch at Michie’s Tavern(so good!) before heading back to Richmond. We left with a lot of apples so I need to look up some great recipes on Pinterest! If you have any great recipes, send them my way! 🙂
I have another busy week ahead and the season is slowly winding down. I have until the end of November before my season officially ends for the year! 🙂 Ok, onto the goals!
