Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!  What a fun holiday!  I just love all the sweet surprises, candies, special dinners, and everything that accompanies Valentine’s Day!  This morning, Kaleigh and Carter woke up to a heart trail leading to their breakfast complete with cinnamon rolls with pink icing and bacon on cute heart paper plates and milk in red champagne(plastic! haha) glasses.  They each were greeted with a single carnation and Valentine’s Day card and they have more surprises waiting for them later this afternoon.  They weren’t the only ones to get a special treat!  I got to eat a REAL breakfast!  Eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee, served with a beautiful red rose…what a great start to the day. 🙂

A couple of weeks ago, I did a Valentine’s Day mini shoot with my kids for our cards this year….below were my favorite images made into cards!

I hope everyone has a wonderful, love filled Valentine’s Day!

I felt like a little kid again when I saw the first flurries of the year today!  It was short lived, but so beautiful!!  The kids went out and threw snowballs, caught snowflakes on their tongues and had a blast!  Jingles had a pretty good time too…he liked eating it. 🙂  I couldn’t let the snow pass without snapping a few photos!  Hope everyone enjoyed the wintry weather today.  PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE

We got to Massanutten every year and it is such a fun time!  This year, our big trip was to Disney so we weren’t able to spend the full week in Massanuttten, but we made full use of the time we did have!  In our short 3 day vacation, we managed to squeeze in Luray Caverns, putt-putt, hiking, snow tubing, the waterpark, and the arcade!  It was a busy and fun mini vacation!  I didn’t take too many pictures, partly because I wanted to give myself a break and partly because we were just so busy DOING stuff!

One of more recent and most favorite traditions is to go on a hike in the mountains….the kids LOVE it and its fun to just get out in nature and not have to worry about anything!  The photos below are from our hiking adventure……we went for about an hour and then hit up the water park for the rest of the day!  Ok spring, I’m ready for you to be here now. 🙂

PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEIn case you have been wondering what my new hair cut looks like….here it is…I love that I can wear it straight or curly now!! PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEThe kids spent FIVE hours swimming and playing at the water park!!  It was a LOONG day!! PIN IMAGESo there you have it!  Our grand adventure in Massanutten!  If you are thinking of taking a trip here with your little ones, go for it!  Its such a fun place!

It is never too early to start thinking about Valentine’s Day and I am so glad that I did this year!!  With wedding season coming up, I know that things are going to get busy…and fast!!  I love taking pictures of my kids, and sadly, I do not get enough time anymore.  I was thankful when things started to slow down after the holidays so I could focus more on pictures with my own.  Kaleigh and Carter really love being in front of the camera and aren’t shy at all!  I think I could take pictures of them all day haha!

I couldn’t have been more pleased with the way the session turned out!  I was able to work with an amazing group of vendors and just had a really fun time with them….and you wouldn’t be able to tell, but it was FREEZING this day!

Ok, so I am in LOVE with the outfits I got for Kaleigh and Carter’s Valentines Day this year!!  The next series of photos, the matching sets came from SnuggleBug Baby Boutique and they are SO CUTE!  I was so impressed with the way they turned out!

PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE

This amazing Valentine’s banner was from The Polka Dot Pickle!  Photographers, and even moms!…if you are looking for a really cute way to tie in a theme, please visit her shop!  She can even do custom designs!  And they are GREAT quality!

PIN IMAGEThese ADORABLE fleece hats below came from Soggy Bottom Baby Duds!  She has some really unique, cool things for kids! 🙂 PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEI wish Kaleigh would wear these knee high socks more often because they are so cute!!!  These are from Dreamspun Kids and I LOVE them! PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEAnd these GORGEOUS hair pieces were from Flower Chic Boutique  Of course, Kaleigh’s favorite is the sparkly pink one and I adore the red one….it really just stands out and looks so cute against her blond hair.

PIN IMAGEThese cute little photo props are also from The Polka Dot Pickle (same vendor for the flag bunting!)  They just make the photos pop! PIN IMAGEThe next set of outfits(I know I am obsessed!)…..you should see their closets for Christmas and Halloween!  AHH!  This set came from Designs by Shine and she has got the CUTEST kids clothing line.  Items can be made to match if you have more than one child and the quality is amazing.  Carter LOVES his dino Valentine shirt and Kaleigh looks so cute in hers! PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGEThis stunning bow is from Birdsong!  She has some really beautiful, classic hair pieces that I love!  I was recently featured on her blog!  Thank you SO much Deanna! PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGE PIN IMAGESo there you have it!  These are my Valentine’s babies this year…..they have grown so much since last year!  I know one of these cards will be our card this year…..it will be a tough decision!
