I am SO thrilled I can finally post these GORGEOUS photos!  I feel like I have been waiting forever to post these lol!  I knew that Alexa was going to be beautiful when I saw her, but I wasn’t prepared to see just how amazingly gorgeous she truly is!  She is a sweetheart both inside and out and it was such an honor to photograph her bridals.

When Alexa asked if I would be her photographer for her wedding I was over-the-top ecstatic!  See, Alexa and I go wayyyy back…..we were best friends in high school and shared a lot of really great times that I will never, ever forget!  We were inseparable and I looked to her as a sister.  No matter how much time we have been apart from each other, each time I see her, we pick right back up!  I did her and David’s engagement shoot and it was such a relaxing, fun experience.  I have been so honored to share these wonderful milestones with them and photographing their wedding day was more fulfilling than I ever could have imagined!  Stay tuned for their gorgeous wedding coming to the blog soon, but for now, enjoy these photos of this stunning little lady!

Ashley Glasco Photography - […] wedding for so long and couldn’t believe that it was finally here!  I did Alexa’s bridals just a few short weeks ago and was ecstatic when I could finally post them!  Is she not the most […]ReplyCancel

This past weekend was busy and oh so FUN!  Fridays are our pizza night so I look forward to this day all week long!  Its a chance to unwind and enjoy a stress free(meaning I don’t have to cook!) meal!  We usually watch a movie, lounge around, and enjoy being lazy for the night!  Saturdays have become one of the busiest days of the week for me(other than Thursdays when I have to take Kaleigh from girl scouts, to gymnastics, and then piano!)  This Saturday we went to Carter’s soccer game…so sad his season is almost over.  It went by so quickly!  He did great and even scored a goal for his team!  He is so funny to watch…and he has figured out a strategy.  When he knows the other team is going for the goal he runs down to be goalie haha!  After the game, we went to Home Depot.  They were having some sort of event complete with popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream, a DIY project, and putt putt!  Oh, and Nutzy was there too. 🙂  As if that wasn’t enough…I had to rush home to get ready for Alexa and Dave’s wedding!  I had been looking forward to this day for SO long and couldn’t believe it was finally here!  To say the wedding was gorgeous is an understatement.  It could not have been a more perfect day for such a lovely couple!  I can’t wait to show you Alexa’s bridals…stay tuned, they are coming TODAY! 🙂  Sunday we took it easy.  Just hung around the house, watched a movie, and did some light cleaning.  Jay took the kids to play soccer in evening and I went to Starbucks and bought my new book! 🙂  Below are a few images from the past week!

I had the pleasure of photographing Jeff and Jenny’s magical wedding on the 22nd day in April.  It was a lovely ceremony, even though it was raining that day(they say that’s good luck, right?) 🙂  Jenny is such a sweet person and I truly enjoyed working with them!  They both just seemed so happy, and having close family and friends to witness such a joyous occasion made it all the more special.  Thank you Jeff and Jenny for allowing me to be a part of such a special time in your lives!  I hope your honeymoon to Disney World was awesome!!  I wish you all the best and much love in your lives together!  I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from your day!

Jenny, you looked absolutely amazing!

Ok everyone!  I am going to try a new blog series.  I really would love to blog on a consistent basis so I figured, what better way to kick off the week than to post an entry!  I’d like these weekly posts to recap the weekend and have my goals for the week.  I find that if I have my goals written out I am more likely to do them.  I think also if I feel accountable to someone(thats you!) that I will be more likely to be persistent with reaching my goals!

This weekend was filled with lots of exciting things!  Friday evening I had a get together with some girlfriends for a Stella and Dot jewelry party.  It was a lot of fun getting to hang out with a group of girls…thats not something I get to do very often at all, so it was a treat!  Beautiful jewelry, good conversation, and delicious munchies….what more could you ask for?  And, it only took me an entire week to clean my downstairs haha!  After, we played a board game which was so much fun that we have decided to start a monthly game night!  I am super excited for it!  The early part of Saturday was spent lounging around the house and later that evening I shot a beautiful wedding.  The crowd was a lot of fun and I had a great time capturing their special day!  After, I went out for one of my good friend’s bachelorette party!  Her mom surprised her with a limo so we got to ride around the city…it was such a FUN night!  Yesterday we had lunch at Strawberry Street Cafe(where I stuffed myself with their brunch buffet) and then headed off to meet one of my beautiful brides while Jay took the kids to the Science Museum.  The rest of the day we just hung out around the house and relaxed.  All in all, it was a really busy weekend, but it was filled with lots of fun(and FOOD)!

Ok, onto the week ahead!  Some of these goals I am looking forward to meeting….others….not so much.

After our fabulous Easter day filled with fun, food, and family we came home and planted our vegetable garden!   The kids had a blast digging, planting and watering our new little “farm.”  It warms my heart to know that they enjoy doing this sort of thing.  I love coming together as a family spending quality time with each other.  Something as simple as(well…not that simple!)making a garden created an afternoon of pure bliss.  In reality though, there is so much more it.  For one, we, as a family, created a plan and a goal.  In the end, we will get to physically see(and eat!) what we worked hard for.  We did something together that we can be proud of.  We worked together for the same goal and when those first tomatoes and cucumbers start coming in, I can’t wait to see their faces light up with joy.  We are teaching principles such as teamwork and family values….work ethic and taking pride in your what you do…..spending time together with loved ones…setting goals and seeing them through….I know that their enthusiasm may not last for planting a garden, but I hope that the seeds we are planting within them continue to grow and blossom.

What sort of things do you like to do together as a family?  I hope this inspires you to go out and “plant some seeds” of your own! 🙂

FYI, These images were shot with my NEW Canon 5d Mark III…..I am in LOVE with this camera.  It is a dream…..
