I am beyond excited to finally be able to show you the photos from Jodi’s bridal session! I think the hardest part about doing a bridal session is having to wait to blog the photos! I was lucky enough to shoot Jodi’s bridal session and I cannot wait to show you some of my favorites! She is gorgeous inside and out and her gown was amazing!! Below are some of my favorites!
   I cannot believe how big Julia Rose is! She turned 6 months a few weeks ago and she could not be any cuter! She has a smile on her face every time I see her. She is sitting up, crawling, and doing all the fun things babies do at that age! She has the cutest personality and her face lights up every time she hears her Momma’s voice. I loved getting to photograph her at this fun age! Allison is such a wonderful mom and it shows through Julia. This baby is so loved by so many and I am blessed to be able to be a part of her life. Thank you Allison for allowing me to take pictures of you and your sweet baby! Below are some of my favorites from our session 🙂
I had the pleasure of working with some pretty awesome families for mini sessions this year! It was a gorgeous day this past Saturday, perfect weather to be outside and enjoy spring! Summer will be here before you know it and I am a big fan of the high temps, so I am trying to relish in this beautiful weather we are having! Below are some of my favorites. Happy Monday everyone! I was so excited to work with Ashley and her two beautiful children….we had talked in the past about setting up a session so I was really looking forward to it! She is one busy momma! My kids are well past the age of needing constant attention and I forget sometimes how crazy life be! But its all worth it, I mean, look at these cute little faces!!
Thank you to all of the families who came out this past Saturday for the mini sessions, I had a wonderful time with you and your families and I look forward to working with you all again! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day! Catherine and Phil were such a pleasure to work with this past weekend! They were so at ease with one another, it was like they had known each other their entire lives. They met nearly three years ago during Memorial Day weekend at Virginia Beach and hit it off right away. At the time, Phil was living there and Catherine in Richmond, so there were many visits back and forth before Phil moved to Richmond. They both love to travel and have visited several places, such as Atlanta, Savannah, Knoxville and many small weekend trips (Eastern Shore, apple picking, and VA vineyards for wine tastings). They also like to cook together too and aren’t afraid to try what they have learned from cooking shows. Ive heard they’ve made some pretty awesome dinners because of it! I asked Catherine how Phil had proposed and thought it would be best to tell it in her own words. 🙂 “It was New Year’s Eve 2012. Earlier in the day we had talked about whether or not we wanted to go out for dinner or stay in. We decided we should stay in. Because it was New Year’s Eve, I decided I wanted to dress up anyway and make dinner. Phil got home, started a fire, we had dinner and poured some wine. He said to me he had something for me. I thought he just had a gift left over from Christmas that he hadn’t gotten a chance to give to me. He handed me this long package wrapped with a bow. It felt like a picture frame so I started unwrapping the present. As I did I noticed in each picture that Phil was holding a letter that spelled out a word. As I moved down to the bottom of the picture I realized what all those words were spelling out. The words were: “Will You Marry Me” And as I looked up after realizing what the pictures said, Phil was kneeling down on one knee with a ring. And of course I said “Yes!” and the rest is history!” How cute is that?!?! I LOVE hearing about the fun ways the guys propose! Below are some favorites from our session together! I am thrilled that they chose the location in Goochland, it is one of my favorite places to shoot! I had such a fun time with them and cannot wait for their wedding in September! Thank you Catherine and Phil for such a fun time!

Phil and Catherine both love football so we just had to take some photos of them playing together 🙂 They love attending games when they can, especially their college teams, NC State and University of Tennessee. I think Catherine’s favorite game was when they went to a football game in Atlanta in 2012 where NC State played UT…..UT won! Can you guess why it may be her favorite game?! Haha!
I was so excited to have finally met Mary and Mark for their engagement session. Mary and I had been chatting for quite a while about a photo session and when she contacted me that she was getting married, I was so excited! We met at Forest Hill Park, where Mark and Mary spent a lot of time fishing and taking walks while they were dating. I love when couples choose places that have meaning behind it, it makes it that much more special! 🙂 Below are some of my favorites from our session together. Mary and Mark, it was so much fun working with the two of you and I am excited about your wedding this fall and can’t wait to see you again!
