I am thrilled to finally be able to show Ryan’s images from her bridal session we did a few weeks ago! She is SO beautiful inside and out and I really have enjoyed getting to know her and working with her! These images were taken at her mom’s house in Ashland(which is where Ryan and Sean were also married) It is beyond gorgeous! I cant wait to show you those images…they are coming soon so stay tuned!    I am so excited I am FINALLY able to blog again!! What a great feeling! I have LOTS of great images coming soon so be sure to check out the blog daily! 🙂 I had the pleasure of working with Phil and Catherine on their wedding day a few weeks ago at the Celebrations at the Swift Creek Reservoir. They had a small and intimate ceremony with close friends and family by the water on a beautiful September day. It was such a pleasure working with them again! I did their engagement session this past spring and was so honored to be a part of their marriage celebration. Below are some of my favorite images from their day!
I had the pleasure of working with Brandon, Amber and Nolan a couple of weeks ago in Nags Head while they were vacationing with family! I know Amber from way back in the day when we cheered together so it was nice being able to catch up and reconnect. Her little boy is the sweetest thing ever and I had so much fun working with them! It was also a nice excuse to visit my mom and we were able to enjoy the beach for a little bit. 🙂 We began our session in the little town of Manteo, right outside of the heart of Nags Head and it was such a pretty town. We’ve only been there once(when Carter broke his foot a few years back and we needed to find other things to do besides the beach!) and like Amber, I fell in love with the quaint little town. I was so happy when she asked if we could shoot there because I wanted to revisit the area. The session *almost* didn’t happen due to a high heat index, but thankfully as the day went on, the weather cooled down and it was beautiful! We headed out to Jennette’s Pier after (a relatively new pier in Nags Head) for some fun beach shots. Nolan LOVES the sand and his big thing is birds right now, so it was fun to see him get excited at the sight of a bird. 🙂 Brandon and Amber decided to get some shots of just the two of them and I am so glad that they did! I think its really important to remember that just as much as you are a family, you are also a couple and having photos of just the two of you is important! I love the ones we got! I know its taken me forever to get this blog post up, but its finally here! If you didnt know already, I love planning for the kids’ birthdays! I have so much fun coordinating everything and watching it finally come together on their big day. They have been sharing their birthday party together for the last three or four years now and I love that they do that. This year, Kaleigh’s theme was art and Carter’s was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Below are the images from their party. I actually made all of the designs for Kaleigh’s birthday this year and Carter’s designs were from free sources I found on the internet. 🙂 I did make the subway art print and I have to say, I am pretty proud of myself! As always, the cakes and cupcakes were made by the fabulous Alicia from A Peach in a Pear Tree. She is currently working on getting her new bakery opened and I am SO excited! If you havent tried her desserts, you need to, they are delicious! And lastly, Kaleigh’s awesome shirt was custom made by the talented Rebekah Crisco from Esty! You can see Kaleigh modeling the shirt here.
I am so excited to share with you all Kevin and Jodi’s wedding at Lewis Ginter. It was a gorgeous day and they could not have been more happy. Jodi was so laid back and they were both SO much fun to work with. Below are some of my favorites from their beautiful wedding!
