Tredegar Wedding at Belle Isle

Jesse and Charity have a very unique wedding story. Jesse is originally from Superior, NE(a country boy) and Charity is originally from Richmond, VA(a city girl). They wanted to incorporate the “country boy meets city girl theme” from their wedding, so they decided have an entire weekend dedicated to their marriage celebration. Three services, in three different states in three days! They wanted to have as many friends and family be a apart of their wedding day and it was truly a once in a lifetime event and so many wonderful memories were made! I was lucky enough to be apart of their “city” celebration at Bethlehem Lutheran Church as well as Tredegar Iron Works in Richmond, VA.

Below are some favorites from their wedding day!

Good morning!  Can you believe that we are almost halfway into April and we had SNOW on Saturday!??!  What the heck haha!  Thankfully, the weather is going to get warmer as the week goes on and this makes me happy because I have a bridal session on Sunday!  Now that wedding season is in full swing, I need warm weather, especially for the outside weddings haha!  Speaking of weddings, I assisted Brian and Brandie from 180 Reflections this past weekend(see photo below, thanks Brandie!) and it was FREEZING!!  I felt so awful for the bride, groom and wedding party, but they were so patient during portrait time and we were all grateful for that!  Screen Shot 2016-04-11 at 11.06.48 AMPIN IMAGE

So…a little glimpse at what our week is looking like….Carter has his first baseball game this evening!  Good luck Carter!  It is also Carter’s last week of art and he has decided to take a break for a while…but he has really enjoyed it and his teacher always compliments on how well behaved he is and his good manners.  Kaleigh is finished with her gymnastics season and is thinking about getting back into it outside of school…not sure how I feel about that haha, we will see!  We are always on the run with sports, art, clubs, etc so I am looking forward to having a night or two where we don’t have plans and can be spontaneous!  We are hoping to do something fun on Friday or Saturday with the kids….suggestions??  I will be doing lots of cleaning, editing and working!  I also need to finish the hallway project so we can begin on the bathroom project!  We have been doing minor updates to a few rooms and its taking longer than I would like haha!  Below are the goals….

I met Aaron and Denise for the first time during their vacation at Virginia Beach.  They wanted to incorporate the beach into their engagement session and what better way than to do it while they were visiting!  They traveled quite a bit and I was so happy that the timing worked for us!  It was a bit on the chilly side and very windy to say the least haha!  But, we had some really beautiful light and they were such a fun couple!  Below are my favorites from our session! Good morning friends!  I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful weather we are having!  I hope it stays like this for a while!  OK, I have to admit….I’ve been slacking in the blogging department, What a crazy couple of months it has been!  BUT I have been doing A LOT of “behind the scenes” work with the business and I am so happy to see my hard work paying off!  I have designed and ordered new sample albums, updated and ordered my bridal guide, completed all of my tax paperwork, stayed up to date with all of my 2016 expenses, updated my wedding contract and all consent forms, designed and ordered new marketing materials(business and thank you cards, and brochures), updated all of my business email documents, decided on my couple’s gifts for the year and ordered everything, shot a few sessions, and am almost completely booked for 2016 and even started booking 2017 weddings!  Im sure there are plenty of things Ive missed listing, but that is a big chunk of it!  Now that wedding season has officially kicked off, I will be posting more frequently! 🙂  I am looking forward to implementing the Manic Mondays again because it really does help me stay on track with my “to-do” lists.  I have my goals for the week below the sneak peek from Jesse and Charity’s wedding this past weekend!  I am excited to share more soon!

I am so happy to introduce Tegan today!  She is such a sweet little baby and slept the entire session!  Kelly had a lot of fun props that we used and I had so much fun playing dress up! 🙂  Everyone is over the moon with Tegan and it was so sweet watching her big brother hold and kiss her!  Below are some favorites from our session!
