I remember looking up to my aunt as a child and wanting to be just like her.  We are seven years apart, so when I was little I just thought she was the coolest person in the world!  She probably doesn’t know this, but I used to sneak into her room all the time and try on her shoes and clothes….and I pretty much read every journal she ever kept!  I loved spending time with her and always felt special when she took me places.  She even inspired me to start drawing.  I remember her taking me to a craft store and buying my first sketch pad(which I still have to this day.)  Sadly, there are just a handful of drawings in there!

In recent years, we have gotten really close and I always look forward to her visiting.  She has lived in Florida for a while now and I don’t get to see her as often as I would like, so when she comes to town, we always make it a point to see each other.  She is one of the closest women to me in my life and I cherish each moment I spend with her.

I was so happy when we were finally able to go out and take pictures together.  We have been talking about doing this for two years, but it just has never happened until now!  She is such a beautiful person, inside and out, and I was honored to give her this gift.  So here she is…..my aunt. 🙂
