I have always had a passion for taking pictures. When I was younger, I would dress my little sisters up and “pose” them for photo shoots. Never would I have imagined that the small spark of creativity would someday explode when I had my first baby. When my daughter was born, I wanted to photograph every last detail of her. I knew how quickly she would change and I didn’t want to miss any of it. I wanted to capture every moment and document important milestones in our lives. My passion for photography blossomed as I watched her grow up and pretty soon I had friends and family complimenting my work. Being the introvert that I am, I was too nervous to put myself out there, so photography remained a hobby. I got plenty of practice photographing Kaleigh and she became a pro in front of the camera! Then along came my son in 2008. I was just finishing up my bachelors degree in Psychology at VCU, but my heart belonged to photography. I knew I would never forgive myself if I didn’t take a chance to do what I love so during the fall of 2009, I bought my first DSLR camera, decided to take a leap of faith, and here I am! I never would have been inspired to follow my dreams if it weren’t for my family, my husband, and God. I have the most supportive and encouraging family a girl could ask for and feel blessed to be doing what I love! I take pictures because I truly enjoy documenting love, memories, and relationships. I love being able to capture an emotion, a smile, a laugh and freezing it for all time…..I love being a story teller and memory keeper.
