Nathan and Katie Married | Richmond, VA Wedding Photographer

I met Nathan and Katie last year when I did their good friends Dave and Alexa’s wedding. I was so excited when Katie contacted me about her wedding this April because her and Nathan are SUCH a sweet, fun couple! I did her bridals near Tredegar in downtown Richmond a few weeks ago, you can view them here if you missed it! I had such a great time on their wedding day meeting their friends and family and just enjoying the love all around! They opted for doing a first look which I LOVE! If you dont know what a first look is, it is when the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. It is an intimate period of time where they take it all in….they wont be alone for the rest of the day and as I am sure many of you know, wedding days are very busy with all the mingling, eating, dancing etc. First looks are perfect for getting in a few moments with just the bride and groom and taking those oh so important portraits! It takes away the stress and rush afterwards trying to get all of the formal family shots, the bridal party, AND the couple in a short period of time! AND you get to the reception quicker! 😉 When you see the photos below, going with a first look doesnt change the reaction at all when the groom sees his *almost* wife walking down the isle!
