Our Trip to Carter Mountain | Charlottesville VA portrait photographer

Our annual camping trip and apple picking at Carter Mountain are the two things I look forward to most in the fall.  I get so excited when the time finally comes when our family can slip away from reality and head to a peaceful place, away from all the distractions of daily life.  It is so freeing to go to Goochland and just hang out as a family.  We had a great time riding around in the golf cart, visiting the cemetery(sounds creepy, but it was a good learning experience!), raking leaves and jumping in them, fishing, and roasting hotdogs and smores by the fire.  I wish our lives weren’t so hectic….I would love to take more than just one trip a year for camping.

Nevertheless, this weekend was filled with laughter, love, and APPLES!  If you’re wondering….I haven’t gotten around to editing our camping trip because I was so excited about these…..hopefully one of these days I can get around to it and have a part II to this entry!

But for now, here was our trip to Carter Mountain….or as Carter says, “Batman Mountain.”  Either way it is his mountain and he truly believes that he is Batman at this stage in his life haha! PIN IMAGEThis is one of my favorite images to date of Kaleigh….she is just so beautiful!(I know, I know…I am biased!) PIN IMAGECarter had a hard time holding his basket of apples haha! PIN IMAGEExcuse the extremely dirty hands of my children….what can I say?!….
