The “C” Family | Crump Park | Richmond, VA Family Photographer

I met this family a couple of weeks ago and they were a pleasure to work with!  It was a rainy day, but that didnt stop us!  The leaves were at their peak and it was GORGEOUS!!

Amy writes, “It was a complete treat having Ashley take our family photos.  I was excited to find out about Ashley from a woman I know that has documented her growing family with Ashley several times.  My friend was telling me about her recent photo shoot with Ashley when I realized that life had gotten away from us….it had been way too long since we had a family photo taken.  I’m usually the one behind the camera, trying to capture the moments of my family and the end result usually involves complaining from my subjects and photos that never include Mom.  My kids are in that age range where photo taking is not a priority and they actually turn away from the camera and/or cover their faces!  Ashley did a great job of making our mini shoot pain free!  It was quick, casual, natural and yet thorough….and that speaks volumes as a portion of it was even in the rain!  She did a great job of engaging both our middle school and high school sons while keeping it “cool”.  Thank you for being pet friendly!  Yes, we are “that family”…. you know…the one that shows up to the family photo shoot with their dog… because in our house…the dog is family and we can’t picture life without her!  Thank you for capturing where we are in our lives… the here and now.  Thank you for documenting the face of a beginning middle schooler who still has a hint of his young boy face, the face of an ambitious teenager starting high school, the face of the sweetest basset hound ever, and the faces of the parents that pinch themselves every single day because they can’t believe how quickly their children have grown and just how lucky they are to have been a part of it all!”
